Rising Tide Society styled photoshoot: Eloping in Myrtle Beach
The Market Common is a live/work town center located in Myrtle Beach. My husband, Dave, and have wanted to move there ever since it opened eight years ago. And in three days we’re doing exactly that. I’ve always wanted to live above an Italian restaurant! (I just never imagined it would be in Myrtle Beach.)
Life’s ironies aside, I jumped at the chance to shoot a styled “Eloping in Myrtle Beach” shoot at the location right around sunset. My current house being torn apart and full of boxes was making me cranky!
The light was beautiful, the vendors, their wares and services, colorful and summery. You may already know that I don’t shoot weddings, but the shoot was the perfect opportunity to photograph a gorgeous bride and groom and some swoon worthy items from the vendors. (besides heirloom portraits, product photography is one of my specialties – so I loved shooting that beautiful pair of Sam Edelman shoes in the photograph on the left.)
I also enjoyed meeting other photographers working throughout the Grand Strand.
All in all it was an inspiring event. My inner stylist/producer has all kinds of ideas for putting together a styled shoot of my own someday soon. Dare I let her loose? Let me know what kind of styled shoot you would like to see me do in the comments!
A big shout out to all the creative partners for their contributions to this shoot. Here are the vendors who contributed along with links to their Facebook pages. If you are thinking about eloping in Myrtle Beach, you’ll definitely want to get in touch with them. They’ll help pull together your event quickly AND beautifully. And big thanks also to the Rising Tide Society organizers!
